BENEFITING: Autism Society of Minnesota
EVENT DATE: Mar 06, 2016
My daughter Jane was diagnosed with autism just before her 4th birthday. We have done our best to get her the support she needs to thrive. She appears shy and akward to her peers but she can be a lot of fun with her dry sense of humor. Through various social skills groups we have met some really great kids on the spectrum and their supportive families.
We think the Steps of Hope walk is a great way to bring awareness and fundraise for the Autism Society of Minnesota. Money raised from this walk will fund valuable programs and services (camp, social skills classes, trainings, and other educational events) that allow people affected by autism to grow and flourish.
