Cholangiocarcinoma Research and Memorial Fund
Organized by: Karissa Blair
In 2012 my Father passed away from Cholangiocarcinoma. Cholangiocarcinoma starts in the bile duct, a thin tube, about 4 to 5 inches long, that reaches from the liver to the small intestine. It is a rare form of cancer and often labeled as a silent disease because signs and symptoms often go unnoticed until the cancer is in the advanced stage. This is what happened to my Dad. It was so hard to watch him suffer through so many painful tests and have the end result be the same. It was the hardest thing for My Mom, 16 year old sister, my 7 year old sister, and I to go through. Although we have struggled through that experience we would love to help other families that are going through this. We want more people to become aware of Cholangiocarcinoma and fund the research. That is why we started the Jeffery Memorial Fund. Every dime will go to research and families in our local community. Please donate if you can. Thank you.
