BENEFITING: St. Louis Arc, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Apr 13, 2014
Hello ChiO-Beta Supporters!
Every year, students at Washington University in St. Louis team up to throw a carnival for both students and the St. Louis community. As a part of this carnival, various Greek Organizations pair up to build full size facades and perform short plays inside the structure. This year, we have decided to base our efforts around an "Ancient Temple" theme. On the weekend of April 11th-13th, our efforts will be displayed to the St. Louis community and one group will be crowned champion based on efforts in philanthropy, service, construction, and production.
Our efforts are done in order to raise money for a charity as well as raise awareness about the charity on campus and in the community. This year, the Brothers of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and Sisters of Chi Omega Sorority have chosen the St. Louis ARC, a United Way organization that provides support and services to more than 3,500 adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, throughout the St. Louis community. The St. Louis ARC was chosen due to numerous members of our organization expressing passionate interests in benefiting their cause. As a result, our members are striving to provide over 100 hours of service and raise $10,000 to support their cause.
