On January 27, 2017, The Children’s Wish Foundation will challenge local business and community groups to gather their crews and take part in an action-packed day of fun and friendly competition all in a united effort to grant heartfelt local wishes. Modeled after the popular television show “Survivor”, casts compete in a series of mental, physical, creative, and strategic challenges at West Edmonton Mall. Each year the event takes on a different theme so that casts can get as creative as possible with their cast costumes and themes. This year our theme is MOVIES and we hope this inspires each team to get creative with their fundraising events, and cast spirit. Each cast will be paired with a local Wish Child who will cheer them on and inspire these brave competitors to raise money towards granting their wish child’s most heartfelt wish!
About Children’s Wish
The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest Canadian wish-granting charity dedicated to helping Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 who are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, Children’s Wish has worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to more than 25,000 children and their families.
This year, the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada expects to grant over 1,000 new wishes across the country with the help of volunteers and generous donors; that is approximately three wishes each and every day, all year long. Each wish is the child’s most heartfelt wish, and carefully structured to meet the particular needs of the child and their family. Children’s Wish is a national charity with chapters in every province and territory. Visit www.childrenswish.ca for more information and to donate.
