Child Crisis Center Uganda works to improve the lives of orphaned children that live in the poverty-stricken village of Magooli, in the Namayingo District of Eastern Uganda. Many of the orphaned children have lost one or both parents due to war, malaria, and AIDS among other diseases.
Despite having no running water or electricity, CCCU built a school and opened Magooli Academy for Children - Namayingo on February 4th 2019 to exclusively teach the supported children in the community. Along with the construction of the school, CCCU was able to also construct an 8,000 gallon water tank rain collection system. This will provide clean water to the community that once had to walk six miles for contaminated river water.
The Magooli Academy for Children - Namayingo (MACN) has been an ongoing project of ours since March of 2018. This ongoing labor of love could not have been possible without the help of our donors, workers, educators, and of course the children.
CCCU believes that with education as a foundation, children can have endless opportunities.
