Chicago English Bulldog Rescue (CEBR for short) has been helping pure-bred bullies and their families for 3 years. We serve Chicago-proper and the surrounding suburbs, the state of Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southeast Wisconsin including Milwaukee. Made up of 100 volunteers, CEBR has rehomed almost 300 bullies and counseled hundreds of families to provide support, encouragement and training consults to help keep bullies in their homes. The national economic downturn in the past few years has presented some unexpected challenges for CEBR with an unprecedented rise in bulldog surrenders both by owner families and various animal care and control organizations that turn to CEBR for assistance in appropriate placements. Our dedicated group of volunteers has enabled us to not only respond to this increased need for our services but also to strategically expand both our service area and our exceptional Rescue Program which focuses on puppy mill, dog auction, and large scale surrender situations.
