BENEFITING: CHEFF THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER
ORGANIZER: CHEFF THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER
Hey! Odds are that if you've landed here, you already know me... so we'll skip the part where two rocks collided...
I love animals- particularly horses and dogs, and have been blessed to fall into a career that keeps me in touch with that love every day. I work at the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in Augusta, MI which exists to enhance the lives of those with special needs through equine assisted activities and therapies.
Currently, a top funding priority for Cheff is a Sure Hands lift that will help us get less mobile clients on to horses.
This Lift Will:
- increase safety of clients, horses, and staff in the mounting area
- decrease physical strain on clients, horses, and staff
- increase longevity of horses in program (decreased physical strain)
- AND expand services to include clients without transferring capabilities
You can click HERE to see the "wish lift" in action!
PLEASE consider making a donation. SERIOUSLY... your gift of ANY amount can make a huge difference!

Monday through Friday year round, clients run, walk, and roll their way through the doors at the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center in Augusta, Michigan eager to meet up with ‘their’ horse and go for a ride. These individuals range in age from 2 to 92 and all face physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges in their daily lives. In 2015, Cheff Center served over 350 clients with the support of approximately 170 volunteers/week.
