Laura Dillaman wrote -Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. During the week, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement. Leading up to Division III week, Chatham University student-athletes are teaming up with Student Affairs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for a food drive! Food drives are a powerful way to contribute to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s mission to end hunger. Not only do drives produce critical food for our hungry neighbors in need, but they also serve as a catalyst that brings the issue of hunger to the forefront, providing immeasurable value to their mission. In an effort to support friendly competition and generate more funds for the food bank- each collaborative team will be competing to see who can collect and raise the most. If you are unable to attend any of Chatham University's home athletic events between January 6th and April 3rd- please consider contributing a monetary donation in your team's namesake!
