THE STORY:
So my birthday is coming up and I decided I wanted to do a fundraiser that would make me feel better about getting old. Getting old sucks but helping others rocks. The guy I want to help is Japheth Opondo. He is one amazing dude. My wife and I first met him went we went to Kenya to visit the orphanage we run. Japheth helped us navigate the the crazy but beautiful world of Kenya while we were there. He volunteered his time to help us and poured out his heart to our kids at the orphanage. We got to know him and learned his incredible story. Japheth grew up in Kibera, the second largest slum in the world. Somehow he made it out to start a family of his own and now pours his life experiences and words of hope back into the youth of Kenya. Japheth desperately needs a car so that he can get a full-time job to support his family. If you have ever been to Kenya you understand what transportation is like and know that public transit is not something to be relied upon. With a car Japheth would be able to hold a steady job, support his family and continue to give back to the next generation in Kenya. Make my 27th birthday a special one by joining with me in support of this incredible man so that he can provide a better path for his family and the kids he serves in Kenya!
