My friend and high school classmate and Air Force Veteran Mr. Chadwick Garrett tragically taken from us on Monday night while being a Good Samaritan. After stopping to help two individuals pull their stuck SUV from a ditch, the two then robbed and brutally murdered Chadwick. He was a good, hard working and loving man and Air Force Veteran. Yesterday, I discovered that he did not have life insurance. I am also asking the Pittsburgh Steelers organization to please acknowledge him as a Veteran and hard core Steelers fan. The incident took place in North Charleston, SC., which is the same city where the Walter Scott murder by a Police officer took place, as well as a few miles away from the city of Charleston, where another national tragedy recently took place with the murders of 9 members of the Mother Emanual AME Church last year. I believe that this is a perfect opportunity for the Pittsburgh Steelers to show support and help uplift this broken community that harbors many life-long Steelers fans such as Chadwick Garrett. I thank you for anything that this organization may be willing to contribute towards funeral expenses and family support for this beloved friend, Veteran and family man who was so tragically taken from us.
