BENEFITING: Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Dec 06, 2014
CrossFit Fenway is gathering on Saturday, December 6 at 10am to raise funds for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center.
Suggested by Caitlin Rufo-McCormick, we'll be coming together as a community to support BARCC in their work helping survivors and preventing sexual violence by stopping it at the source: attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of people who may abuse and/or assault others.
Fighting rape culture and preventing sexual assault is a team effort - we need to work together to create change. We'll be teaming up with a partner workout on Saturday, December 6 to symbolize this commitment.
BARCC is there 24 hours a day to help, and has almost certainly helped someone you know. Your donation can make a huge difference in someone's life right here in Boston.
* $25 helps BARCC answer two hotline calls
* $75 pays for medical accompaniment to a hospital emergency room by a trained volunteer
* $200 supports the first three sessions of free counseling for survivors and their families
* $1,000 pays for a new volunteer to attend BARCC’s comprehensive training program
Please donate today, and join us on December 6 to work together in fighting rape culture and healing our community.
The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) is the only rape crisis center in the Greater Boston area and the oldest and largest center in Massachusetts. Their vision is to end sexual violence through healing and social change.
