CF Summer Retreat Fundraiser

Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc.'s Photo

We are attempting to raise $2K to help those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a life threatening genetic disease that that primarily affects the respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems and progressively limits the ability to breathe. This crowd funding campaign hopes to raise $2000 to support the annual CF Summer Retreat hosted by Cystic Fibrosis Research, Inc. (CFRI) in Menlo Park, CA. The retreat provides a safe and welcoming environment aimed at enhancing positive coping skills, social support and education for people who share common experiences with cystic fibrosis. Adults (18 years and older) with CF, as well as their family members, friends, and health care providers are invited to participate in the weeklong event. All donations will be applied directly to the cost of putting on next summer's event in August 2018 taking place at the Vallombrosa Center in Menlo Park, CA. Activities promoting health include daily exercise, arts and crafts, rap sessions, and educational workshops with guest speakers, as well as fun group bonding activities such as a talent show, movie night and themed costume days. All people with CF are required to comply with CFRI's Cross Infection Control Policy. Cystic Fibrosis Research, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that funds research, provides educational and personal support, and spreads awareness of cystic fibrosis (CF), a life threatening genetic disease. CFRI received 4 stars from Charity Navigator and is recognized as a top rated charity by GreatNonprofits.
