Catholic in Recovery (CIR) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to serve those suffering from addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments as well as family members impacted by a loved one’s addiction. Through programs and ministries that draw people closer to the twelve steps of addiction recovery and the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, it is the aim of Catholic in Recovery to share the Good News that God can bring about healing and recovery, even in the most hopeless of cases.
Addiction tears apart the fabric of countless families and communities, ultimately taking hundreds of lives each day while keeping people seperated from God and the Church and leaving millions of people hopeless. Addiction-related deaths account for more fatalities per day than COVID-19. Catholic in Recovery meetings are a place where authentic connections unfold and help bring a spiritual awakening so that individuals and families can live free from the darkness of addiction. Additional resources, such as printed workbooks and an online platform to work through the twelve steps through a sacramental lens, provide direction, encouragement, hope, and healing for people with a variety of unhealthy attachments. We are grateful for your consideration to support individuals and families seeking freedom from addiction with the aid of their Catholic faith.
