THE STORY:
I am very excited to be running with Team Catholic Charities this year. All donations to my fundraising account will be going to Astor Services one of the affiliate foundations in which I have known of for years. I want to be able to help a cause that I know is directly impacting people's lives. Given that Astor Services is in my home community where I see many struggling, I want to contribute in bringing positivity to their lives and to the community as a whole. Although I have never formally been a part of Astor Services before, I have assisted in buying/putting together Christmas presents for families in need that go to Astor for help. It is amazing the difference even a small contribution can make in these families' lives. I also think it is extraordinary the focus that the foundation has on the development of children who may not have all the resources, love and support they need, which is why I am thrilled to be a part of this team.
