Stephen Siller's story changed my life.

Here was a firefighter, headed out to play golf with his family on a beautiful September morning after pulling a long shift.  Hearing that planes hit the Twin Towers, Stephen turns around and tries to drive back to the station.  Blocked by traffic, he pulls on 60 pounds of gear and runs from Brooklyn to the Twin Towers, where he makes the ultimate sacrifice , giving his life for strangers.

Staci and I ran, in his footsteps, for the first time in 2018.  When we emerged from the tunnel to see over 300 firefighters and police officers lined up holding banners for every first responder lost on 9/11, I found it hard to breathe.  

The mission of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
