The Carole Robertson Center for Learning (the Center) is a nonprofit organization serving more than 1,500 children, youth, and their families across Chicago. The Center is one of the largest early childhood organizations in the City of Chicago, serving linguistically and culturally diverse populations across more than two dozen communities, and with recent growth made possible by federal funding, the Center has become the city’s largest birth-to-three program provider.
Our programs reach children at every stage of development, from before birth to age 17. We are one of the only nonprofit organizations in Chicago that has every early childhood service delivery model to offer: center-based early childhood (6 weeks to 5 years); a network of family child care homes; home visiting for expecting parents and children 0-3 years, micro-centers in charter elementary schools, and small partner sites. We also provide out-of-school-time (OST) programming across four sites, allowing us to serve youth before and after school, as well as during the summer. These various program models prioritize equity and access to quality education, family choice, and a broad footprint of options.
