Why should I give to the Y?
The easiest way to answer this question is by sharing my Y story with you.
My family joined the Y during my husband's overseas deployment. It was the Y that kept us busy while he was gone. Where do you go with infant twins and a preschooler? You go to the Y. At first it was new, I wasn't sure how it was going to work. Then my son discovered sports- so I signed him up for as many as we could fit into a week. We were busy and the Y helped distract us from counting the days and worrying. Then we added swim lessons and our son joined the preschool. When my husband came home for his 2 weeks - he got to watch our son play basketball. He got to see that because of the Y- we were ok. He wouldn't have to worry about us.
Flash forward to today- not only are we still proud Y members but, I am also lucky to be part of the Carls Family YMCA staff. All 3 of our kids discovered sports here, and learned how to swim, they fell in love with learning through the preschool program at Carls. We have made lifelong friends and grown up in the Y community.
My Y story although specific to me is one of many. Most of our members have their own Y Story and will happily share with you the way the Y has deeply impacted their life and the lives of those they love.
Giving to the Y ensures that every individual and family has the opportunity to have their life impacted in a positive and profound way through community at the Carls Family YMCA.
For $250-YOU can help provide the camp experience to a child.
For $100-YOU can ensure that a person will learn how to have fun and be safe around the water.
