The Cardinal Greenway is the longest trail in the state of Indiana at 62 miles and spans five counties through East Central Indiana from Richmond to Marion. We are a member of the Rails to Trails Conservancy Hall of Fame and one of the oldest private trail systems in the nation having celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2018. We provide the communities the trail travels through a free health and wellness resource by offering a safe and inviting place for them to walk, run, bicycle and spend time outside in nature being physically active. We offer several outreach activities including free bicycle loaner programs and running and walking training groups. We also play host to numerous activities and events throughout the trail system serving as a home for fundraising activities for local community organizations. We have a number of local junior high, high school and collegiate athletic teams that utilize the Greenway for their training activities. We partner with numerous local community and non-profit groups and organizations encouraging our users to become more physically active.
