I love working in the outdoors and having my office space be a pickup truck filled with tools, instead of a cubicle. I enjoy bushwacking through rugged terrain in remote locations to dig out that one outlier invasive weed. I enjoy bringing prescribed fire to landscapes that need it, benefit from it, and I enjoy watching native plant regeneration after a burn. I enjoy utilizing a broad array of land management tools and techniques to ensure we have exercised responsibility in being as efficient and effective as possible. Myself and countless others work hard to protect, restore and enchance the natural features of our beautiful California, so all can enjoy it.
A large part of having an enjoyable wilderness or outdoor experience is visiting places that have prisitne, intact ecosystems that inspire introspection. This runs from sustainable trail systems, to clean watersheds, to healthy native flora and fauna communities and much much more. Whether through advocating for enviormemntal funding, or promoting scientific research, or providing Best Management Practices Cal-IPC is the leader when it comes combating invasive weeds. If you've ever been to the annual Symposium you can attest to this.
For all the above reasons (and more) I am proud to serve as a current Cal-IPC board member. I am proud to serve our environment and our communities, and I am proud to serve our State. Please join me in donating whatever you can to ensure Californias Wildands stay protected.
Funding will go towards:
New features on our website, advocacy for environmental funding, bilingual materials, landscaping guidelines, etc.
