I believe there is inequality in the world
I believe that I have had more opportunities in my life than literally billions of other people
I believe I have a responsibility to give back in some way
I believe that the poorest countries in the world require our most immediate help
I believe that providing basic infrastructure that will benefit many, without foisting ideology, and with no strings attached, is the most effective and efficient way to intervene
I believe that shared suffering can forge bonds between people from various backgrounds and that in some small measure, bit by bit, change can be affected
I believe that Building Bridges Worldwide is the right vehicle for me to deliver that change
If you hold any of these same beliefs, I encourage and welcome your support of this year’s Building Bridges trip.
Building Bridges Worldwide has partnered with Azumah Nelson Foundation to construct a six room school house with a library and technology center in the rural village of Anum Appam in Ghana. The current school building is structurally unsound and is not a safe for the children. The new school will provide an improved environment for learning and the new technology center will provide students the opportunity to leverage modern technology and learning tools to supplement the standard curriculum.
9 other volunteers and I will be traveling to Ghana with Building Bridges during the week of August 9th to 18th to work on the project side by side with the local people. Please make a donation to support me and this important project.
