Bike the Drive Break the Cycle 2015
EVENT DATE: May 25, 2015
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! This is our second time participating in the MB Financial Bank's Bike the Drive we're very excited, also because we're celebrating our 6th year anniversary and 4 years of our Educational Empowerment Program! Our first cohort of young moms will be graduating from college this year!
Advocates for Adolescent Mothers 2014 team, Bike the Drive Break the Cycle, is raising seed money for Catalyst98, an innovative program that will provide financial and socioemotional support to young moms all 4 years of college! Once established, the Catalyst98 will be the premiere program in the US to provide a systemic and integrated approach to poverty reduction among families headed by young mothers. The Catalyst98 is designed to provide a greater pathway out of poverty than the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a federal program acknowledged for boosting families out of poverty.
Advocates for Adolescent Mothers is committed to empowering young parents to break the cycle of poverty, establish prosperity, and prevent child abuse. Our vision is to become internationally recognized as the epicenter of the antipoverty movement responsible for the alleviation of poverty and establishment of prosperity among thousands of families headed by young parents.
