“The 110” statistic signifies the number of Broward County homeless youth who are in the most severe of circumstances: living in a car, abandoned facility, park, or any other public area. This “110” statistic doubled from 55 just within the past year. There are many organizations in Broward County that strive to meet the needs of these homeless kids, but the numbers are still dramatic. This is mostly due to the fact that what these children truly need is not brought to light or emphasized strongly enough.
