EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Friends and family!
I hope this email reaches you in good health and spring spirits (even though it SNOWED in New York on the first official day of spring...womp womp) As many of you know, I had the honor of running the NYC Marathon in 2014 for BronxWorks, my employer at the time. BronxWorks is an incredible organization that offers a variety of services to Bronx residents...they serve toddlers to seniors. I worked for an eviction-prevention program called HomeBase within the organization but they have a slew of amazing programs such as a summer camp, afterschool programs, assisted living for senior citizens and foster care prevention for families. Bronxworks is fully invested in its community and I am honored to be a part of their fundraising efforts.
By fundraising for the TCS NYC 2016 Marathon, I hope to enhance and improve the already strong and life-changing programs that BronxWorks offers its residents and community members. This is where you come in! The work they do is funded in large by generous donations from folks like yourselves and the money that they collect from runners fundraising for the marathon is a large part of that! This is why I have committed to fundraising $2,500, which affords me the amazing opportunity to run on their marathon team this year.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and no donation is too small, seriously! I completely understand that times are tough so I assure you there is no pressure or expectation to donate. By offering me good vibes and positive thoughts you are helping me greatly and I am very appreciative. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions whatsoever and I assure you that you are donating to a great cause.
This is the link to donate:
Again, I truly appreciate any donation and this would not be possible without your help.
Sending my east coast folks warm weather vibes as the jealously emanates towards my west coast crew :)
