Thanks for checking out my fundraising page! I'm proud to say that on August 12th I will be taking on the Cape Cod Bay Challenge again! This will be my second time completing the 30 mile stand-up paddle journey across Cape Cod Bay. The 10-12 hour marathon across the (great white shark infested) bay while carrying all of your own supplies on your SUP is a grueling challenge but also such an amazing and indescribable experience.
Now onto the real point though, the purpose of the CCBC is to raise money for a wonderful non-profit organization called Christopher's Haven. Christopher's Haven provides housing to children and their families who come to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for pediatric cancer treatment. These treatments usually last 6-8 weeks and the burden of finding housing during that time in Boston can be financially and emotionally overwhelming. Christopher's Haven is located adjacent to the hospital, where large and completely furnished apartments and a community space are available to families who travel from outside the state or country for daily outpatient treatments. For more information on the charity please visit their website www.christophershaven.org.
I am graciously asking for a small donation towards this charity to help enable my participation in the Challenge. Anything you can possibly give to the cause would be greatly appreciated. I've been training relentlessly for the event and any amount will certainly motivate me even more. If you actually read this far down then I can't thank you enough for your time and support!
