Organized by: Voices For The Blind
Blindness and visual impairment can impact lives on many levels such as emotional, physical, and economic. People who are blind or visually impaired face communication barriers every day throughout the private and public sectors. These include but are not limited to healthcare, mental health, education, employment, and disaster preparedness. When barriers to obtain these essential services exist in a society, the quality of life for them may be reduced. VBVI understands these major challenges and will help the clients to work to overcome them with an array of services that we plan to offer. In order to do this, we will enter into community partnerships with local organizations to ensure an integrated network of complementary services. Our organization plans to promote equal access opportunities in accordance with The American with Disabilities Act and New York City laws against Discrimination.
