Ainsley's Angels of America is super excited to be spreading awareness and smiles through activism and education!
Get to know Hunter:
Hunter has always been someone who enjoys social interaction. He loved going to school to participate in Pep Rallies, football games, baseball games, any activity where there was a gathering of his many friends. He was quite the celebrity…everyone knew him and loved him. He never missed an opportunity to attend every event where his brother and sister participated. He was the first to be ready to go to sporting events, dance competitions, swim meets and the County Fair just to be supportive of his siblings. He never lost his enthusiasm for being their #1 fan. One would never know his regret was he could never be one thing…a participant. It was never more obvious then when he participated in Special Olympics. He gave everything he had to compete and, regardless of the outcome, he was excited to be a on the field and a member of the team. His competitive spirit is not limited to winning or losing. His joy is evident simply for his opportunity to be a team member. He now has a new source of excitement. His opportunity with Ainsley’s Angels has renewed his enthusiasm to be involved. He loves the festivities and the cheers of the crowds. This is an event he can own. To him, every clap or word of encouragement is for him. He is certain he wins every race because his time is of no concern to him. He is no longer sitting on the sidelines, he is a competitor. His simple desire is to have a Team shirt, a Team hat, a Team picture and to be at the starting line impatiently waiting for the start of the race. His uncontrollable smile at the finish line is worth more than any trophy!
