Many of us grow up taking college for granted. We have families who know all about AP exams and SAT’s, and friends who tell us all about internships and GPA’s.
But today in the U.S., while over 75% of students from a high-income family will earn a bachelor’s degree by age twenty-four, only 1 out of every 10 students from a low-income community will do the same.
It doesn’t have to be this way. There are simple solutions, like mentors with diverse backgrounds in industries like finance, consulting, media, and the arts dedicated to guiding students through the complex process of succeeding in high school and getting to college.
We launched this fundraising campaign to help iMentor provide these mentors to students in low-income communities.
100% of the money raised will go directly to supporting the work of our mentors + students, and iMentor will post photos and stories so we can see the students and mentors we helped.
TiP – The iMentor Project -- is a self-sustaining community of mentors and champions. We make gifts, crowdfund, throw parties, and run races - all while having a great time! Questions? Go to www.imentor.org/tip or email email@example.com.
