BENEFITING: CENTER FOR PREVENTION OF ABUSE
EVENT DATE: Nov 19, 2015
We need you to “Be the Bridge.” It is amazing what we can accomplish when we come together! Please donate what you can to help us continue our efforts to build safe and peaceful communities. Your charitable contribution will instantly go to work helping those in need of care.
The Center for Prevention of Abuse serves children, adults and seniors in a six county area; the only agency in all of Illinois to house the combined services under one roof for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse, elder abuse and abuse of adults living with disabilities. Our professional caregivers are a crucial part of the human support structure in your community, annually serving about 5,000 survivors of all ages.
Prevention education programming is another essential service The Center provides, teaching young people about keeping their bodies safe, building healthy relationships and how to prevent bullying. Last year our professional educators reached almost 30,000 students. We are determined to do our best to end the cycle of violence and abuse.
Right now, nearly 40% of our funding is missing due to the lack of a state budget in Springfield. We are dedicated to continuing to serve those who need our care. We are operating through the use of our savings, but those reserves will not last forever. You can help!
We are asking you to please donate to The Center for Prevention of Abuse to help us weather the state budget crisis. Please "Be the Bridge" over the state funding gap. Donate now because victims of brutality cannot wait for Illinois’ political leaders. All of the money contributed will stay in Central Illinois to help The Center’s clients - people who are survivors, and those we work hard to educate about living a life free from violence and abuse. We value your consideration and hope you will join our mission with your tax deductible contribution today. You can make a difference immediately by clicking the big orange button to the right.
