BENEFITING: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 07, 2010
As you might remember, my sister Emily was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when she was only 16 years-old. She endured hospitalizations and various treatments. In 2003, she had surgery to remove the most inflamed part of her intestines. She continued to take a ton of medications daily & treatment through IV infusion every six weeks. Despite this, she continued to face daily challenges and this past February had to have emergency life-changing surgery.
I am so happy to say she just had a party to celebrate 6 months of being healthy! I pray that she will continue to be healthy, that new medications will be created, and one day a cure will be found. By helping CCFA raise money for research, the prognosis for crohn's & colitis can be turned around in the near future.
Together, we can make a difference!
