BENEFITING: THE BELL CENTER FOR EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMS
EVENT DATE: Feb 12, 2012
The Mercedes Marathon is February 12, 2012. I am running the marathon on behalf of a boy, Jacob Jones, who attends The Bell Center (TBC) in Birmingham, AL. TBC provides early intervention for children who are at risk for developmental delay from age birth to three years old; it also provides the families of these children with specific information and encouragement. The money raised will go directly toward helping Jacob during his developmental growth period at TBC.
Jacob was born on August 29, 2010, and was diagnosed with Tay-Sachs disease before his first birthday. Tay-Sachs is a digressive disorder that negatively affects his neurological system, in turn affecting his physical abilities. Jacob's favorite food is strawberries and he loves Elmo. He is a very sociable and happy boy who is a joy to be around.
I would greatly appreciate your support in the form of a financial contribution in any amount for this great cause. You can safely and securely donate online or you can mail a donation to me. (Please make checks out to The Bell Center.) If you are interested in learning more please visit the websites: www.thebellcenter.org
