KP Avenue of the Vines
EVENT DATE: May 20, 2012
DEADLINE TO GIVE: May 31, 2012
The Kaiser Permanente Avenue of the Vines is reaching out to the entire running community in an effort to raise awareness and money for the Emergency Food Bank & Family Services. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters get involved. Have fun and earn rewards just for sharing with family and friends! Are you the next $1000 fundraiser?
The Avenue of the Vines has partnered with Crowdrise to encourage everyone to unite and fundraise for the Emergency Food Bank & Family Services . Just imagine the impact the entire Kaiser Permanente Avenue of the Vines half marathon and 5K running community can have when harnessed to give back in a fun and compelling way!
The Emergency Food Bank & Family Services, founded in 1968, is the largest direct provider of packaged emergency food in San Joaquin County. Over one thousand people a day are served healthy food from Emergency Food Bank services. Almost four million pounds of food is distributed each year from our main location and over 13 pantries in Stockton and San Joaquin County. That equates to almost 200 fully loaded 54’ semi-trailer loads, feeding over one hundred thousand men, women, and children nutritious food each year, without charge.
Please help us reach our goal of $20,000 to help the underserved in our commuity. Any amount you can donate will help feed a hungry child or a family in need.
Race day is coming up fast and we need all of our participants and supporters to rally and help raise more money than ever for our charity.
