Autism Family Services of New Jersey is dedicated to ensuring a better quality of life for individuals and their families affected by autism and related disorders from diagnosis throughout adulthood.
Autism has undoubtedly had a significant impact on the nation and, in particular, the state of New Jersey. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2014 report, 1 in every 45 people in New Jersey have an autism diagnosis compared to the national average of 1 in 68 people. Raising a child with autism presents a unique set of challenges with regard to obtaining appropriate services, including adequate after school care and opportunities for social interaction.
Autism Family Services of New Jersey (AFSNJ) is a leading provider of family support services to the autism population and functions as an affiliate of The Family Resource Network (FRN).
Your donation will support us in our efforts to provide recreation, after-school, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and training opportunities for New Jersey families living with Autism.
With more than 50 programs and services available for New Jersey residents living with epilepsy, autism, developmental disabilities and chronic illness, FRN and its affiliates have been affecting lives of thousands of families across New Jersey since 1970.
Along with providing individuals with autism and their families with services like after school care, Saturday recreation and various trainings, AFSNJ holds the largest gathering of autism families in NJ each year at the Annual Beach Bash in Belmar.
