We serve to preserve, protect, and share the history of Autauga County by:
- Operating the Prattaugan Museum, displaying exhibits featuring Daniel Pratt memorabilia, local family history, Civil War room and county artifacts and providing genealogy information access.
- Operating the Buena Vista Mansion, a beautiful antebellum house built circa 1840's, as the premier event venue in the River Region. The mansion is available for educational tours Tuesday 10 - 2, or by appointment for Weddings, Receptions, Dinners, Luncheons, Parties, Bridal and Baby Showers, Anniversaries, Corporate Events, Business Seminars, and Luncheons, the perfect setting for Prom, Cotillion and Graduation Photo Shoots.
- Preserving over 150 years of history through the Daniel Pratt/Continental Gin Compay Project. Volunteers are into their fourth year of preserving almost 40,000 engineering drawings, 5,000 photos, over 300 leather-bound ledgers that date to as early as 1835. Plans are underway to provide for an Interpretive Center to permit access to this unique historical collection.
