Founded in 1988, Aurora’s mission is creating solutions to prevent and striving to end homelessness in our community. Our vision is a community where everyone has a safe, decent affordable place to call home. Aurora impacts 1,600+ men, women and children annually. These are men, women and children exposed to daily trauma of transient, unhealthy living situations and going without a warm bed, or basic medical needs. Collaborating with over 75 agencies, Aurora’s primary aim is to champion a community wide effort to end chronic homelessness through delivery and sustainment of prevention and early intervention services that reduce housing barriers, improve the overall health and well being of our residents, and ultimately reduce chronic homelessness in Vanderburgh County.
