BENEFITING: POSTPARTUM PROGRESS
EVENT DATE: Jun 20, 2015
I was able to genuinly smile this Mother's Day!!! My first without Postpartum Depression!!
Last year you all helped ME to raise the most money for team Atlanta (as a non-organizer) my goal was demolished! I would love to do that again! Postpartum Depression isn't picky it could attack anyone. I use the word attack because often that is exactly what it feels like. You are attacked during what is supposed to be the happiest time in your life, after the birth of your child.
Please register to climb and donate for each and every woman in your life and if you are a woman of childbearing age-- then for yourself. If you have a daughter then for her -- if your have granddaughters then for them!
Raivon Ari and Greg
P.S. Aetna chose ME as their featured mom to raise awarness of PPD in a video campaign called "It Only Takes A Minute". I just wanted to share it here. They have no affliation with this event or the lovely Postpartum Progress :)

Postpartum Progress’ Climb Out of the Darkness™ is the world’s largest event raising awareness of maternal mental illnesses like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety & OCD, postpartum PTSD, postpartum psychosis, postpartum bipolar disorder, and pregnancy depression and anxiety. Climb Out is held on or near the longest day of the year annually to help shine the most light on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The event features mothers and others across the globe joining together to climb mountains and hike trails to represent their symbolic rise out of the darkness of maternal mental illness and into the light of hope and recovery. Funds raised support the 501c3 organization Postpartum Progress (http://postpartumprogress.org) We can’t wait for Climb Out of the Darkness 2015, to be held Saturday, June 20th. Mark your calendars!
