A Service Dog for Kayla
Organized by: Kayla Woolsey
My name is Kayla Kountry Woolsey. I'm a Disabled Army Veteran. I have PTSD, a TBI, hard of hearing, a hip and lower back injury. Plus I have Hypothyroidism, Seizures and the nerves in my body hate me. I am also the wife of a farmer and mother to a toddeling daughter. A year ago my Boxer passed away unexpectedly due to a Brain Tumor. She was my PTSD Service Dog. She was in training for seizure assistance. Misfit was my life line, my independence from the fear, and my best friend. Now I am afraid to be left alone and I know it's hindering my family. After a year without a dog, and thinking I can do this on my own, I have realized that I can't. I am asking for donations to help me with the adopting, vetting and training of a dog. Some of the task that I will need the dog trained for will be picking up dropped objects, alerting to someone who is behind me, waking to nightmares, turning on lights, and fetching a family member when I have fallen. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God Bless.
