Arlington Community Access Corporation

Arlington Independent Media enriches the Arlington and DC area by bringing independent voices together to exchange ideas, opinions, and artistic expressions. By providing comprehensive basic training, master-level advanced instruction, a fully equipped media production facility, content rich website, a cable television channel, and WERA 96.7FM, we make people into producers, not just consumers, of media.

Since 1982, AIM has continuously provided a media production equipment, facilities, training, and access to a basic cable television channel to all on a first-come, first-served basis. Our members use their skills to produce powerful local media content that highlights the people, places, organizations, businesses and events in our community. Our video programming can be found in Arlington County on the two public access cable television channels we operate, Comcast channel 69 and Verizon channel 38, and streamed live at www.ArlingtonMedia.org. In addition, AIM is the home to WERA-LP - 96.7FM, Arlington’s community radio station, which can be heard at 967FM or streamed live at WERA.FM.

AIM's facility, located in Clarendon just off Wilson boulevard, is equipped with media-making tools including a three-camera television studio, an audio production studio, portable audio and video equipment, editing facilities, a computer lab, and more. All available to the public once they take a few simple, low-cost classes.
