BENEFITING: National Kidney Foundation of Arizona
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2018
Ariyana is a 9-year-old aspiring pop star who attends Sequoya Elementary School. She is excited to be able to simultaneously exercise two of her passions: performing on stage and impacting other kids in a positive way. Having a Grandfather who needed Dialysis multiple times per week, Ariyana is aware of the value this camp would have in creating memorable adventures for the participating children.
Ariyana has been singing, it seems, ever since she could speak. At 3 she was singing in Mandarin at her pre-school performances. From the age of 4 she started performing solos in Farsi at the Santa Clara Convention Center (CA) in celebration of the Persian New Year. Ever since then, she has had the opportunity to hold lead roles and participate in several school and community musicals and plays. She notes her favorite was performing as Cinderella in a camp play! After moving to Arizona 3 years ago, Ariyana started taking voice lessons and has been able to participate in the semi-annual showcases put together by the Dale Yeoman Studios. When not in school or traveling to create memories with her family, Ariyana invests her time in reading, taking hip-hop & jazz-funk dance classes, and practicing Martial Arts.
