For a homeless dog or cat in the winter, the future is bleak and filled with suffering from exposure and hunger. For the cat that was injured in a fight or the dog hit by a car, pain and fear is a constant companion. Finding a space in a shelter is not enough for these animals. as many shelters lack the staff and space to provide the ongoing medical treatment these animals need. Animal Protective League of Springfield and Sangamon County (APL) is unique in that we specialize in providing care for sick and injured homeless dogs and cats in Central Illinois. Often times, we are the difference between life and death for the orphaned kitten or the puppy suffering from parvo but, we can't do it without your help. APL is a private 501(c)3 charity which receives no financial assistance from the city, county or state. We rely primarily on donations and grants to achieve our mission. Your donation will allow APL to provide shelter, life saving medical treatment, medicine and food to dogs and cats in desperate need. Won't you help us save over 2000 lives in 2017?
