An Opportunity For Jipsie
Organized by: Beth Hawkins
Isn’t it ironic that the child Drawchange picked for me to sponsor 3 years ago is named Jipsie (pronounced gypsy) . . . I have been moving from one place to another all my life . . . even growing up, as I lived in Brewster and then on 3 different farms. My hope is that Jipsie will have the opportunity to have as many amazing experiences as I have had. However, she lives in a community that is the most affected area in Cartago by poverty and violence. We could not only make a difference in her life but in the lives of many in her community if we help her achieve her vision. Right now Jipsie wants to be a doctor, but she needs to get through secondary school and college first. To do this I am asking your help to fund her new school year coming up in January as she will no longer be eligible for Drawchange’s program. Their work is limited to the primary school. It will cost approximately $1,200 for books, uniforms, supplies, copies, and food. I’m asking you to make a contribution toward those costs and be part of the team that boosts Jipsie to her next step toward her dream.
