First training run!

BENEFITING: AINSLEYSANGELS OF AMERICA
Growing up I was never athletic, I dreaded running the mile in gym. I never would have believed that as an adult I would discover a love for running; but here I am! Injuries have tried to stop me, but I'm too stubborn for all that. I even ran my first half marathon with an injured hip, no proper training, and orders from my physical therapist not to run. There are not enough words to describe the joy I have when I prove to myself how far I can push myself. A little pain is worth it. A "few" missing toe nails, no big deal. I feel free. I feel like I can conquer any obstacle life throws at me. So imagine my happiness when I discovered Ainsley's Angels! To think that I can help share my love of running with someone else, help them feel free, able to conquer the world, most importantly let them know that they too can be a part of a world formally thought of for people of a certain physical ability, shape, or size. I might not be the fastest, the smallest, or the best runner out there.... But I love doing it, and I would love to share my first full marathon with an amazing athlete rider pulling me along, spreading the message of inclusion! #togetherweshall
