Angela's Cat Rescue
Organized by: Angela Athanasiou
I came across a stray mother cat that recently gave birth to a litter of kittens. The mother was extremely malnourished and desperate for food. There were 4 kittens (that we know of) in the litter. One was too weak and we found her alone laying on the side of the road. We rushed her to the emergency vet but she didn’t make it and passed away.
The next day we went back to feed the mother cat and take in the three remaining kittens. We bathed the kittens because they were covered in flees and tics, removing as many bugs as we could.
Each day I have gone back to feed the mother cat, she has been a stray her whole life and though she remains cautious I have slowly gained her trust. Now she recognizes me she and even comes when I call her. I have picked her up many times to bring her into my basement to protect her from cold and rainy weather. I have called many adoption clinics however none were interested in the mother.
She is a sweetheart who has had a rough life and seems very young herself (I would guess only 2 years old). Winter is coming and I would like to see them safe indoors and I will personally make sure they are taken care of. Please help fund me to pay for their shots and medical expenses so I can find them good homes.
You can check out the ‘Feral Cat Project’ website below that explains how we can help the stray cats. Please share if you can. Thank you.
