BENEFITING: ANIMAL PROTECTION AND RESCUE LEAGUE INC
Amber is a brave activist who exposed blatant animal cruelty by documenting what goes on at the country's largest foie gras duck force-feeding facility. Instead of charging the perpetrators at Hudson Valley Foie Gras with animal cruelty when Amber brought the evidence to law enforcement, Sullivan County NY District Attorney Jim Farrell prosecuted her instead! Amber has been convicted of Criminal Trespass and recently served the month of July in county jail. Though she is safe at home with her family, she has vowed not to stay silent about what she has seen. The battle isn't over, and there will still be significant costs to cover until the case wraps up in August.
The Animal Protection and Rescue League has supported Amber, who is a long-time APRL supporter and volunteer through this ordeal. APRL is a 501(c)(3) registered charity, and all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.
