I am 44 years old. I am a husband, father, entrepreneur, and so much more. But more importantly now, I am someone who is personally experiencing so many of the signs of Alzheimer’s.
I have been recently diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment. Like most, I can’t remember names & dates but it goes so much much deeper. I am beginning to struggle more with the simple things that I used to take for granted. Some of you know my mom died from Alzheimers disease at age 57, so I know it is possible that this dreaded disease could be in my future.
I have been fortunate to run in incredible places like NYC, Chicago, and Paris. I have challenged myself to run as many as 50 miles, and in remote places like the Grand Canyon, but given my current health, running the prestigious Boston Marathon for The Alzheimer's Association MA/NH Chapter "Run to End Alzheimer's” will be my biggest challenge yet.
I put my training on hold to address my health but I'm getting back on the road to run in honor of my Mom and to help bring further awareness to early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
This will be a special event for me and my family. It is important for me to show them, with their continued support and encouragement, I have the strength and courage do anything.
I am asking you to support me in this ambitious campaign. I have until April 18, 2016 to reach my goal of raising $
15,000. $ 40,000, $52,400, $60,000, $65,000, $75,000
Until a cure,
