ALLIANCE FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMENS RIGHTS' Fundraiser:

The Alliance for International Women's Rights (AIWR) supports women leaders and future women leaders in developing countries, with a current focus on Afghanistan and Nepal.  The primary way we accomplish this mission is through our long-distance Empowerment Programs, including AIWR's English Program and Mentor Program.

AIWR's English and Mentor Programs take advantage of free Internet-based communication technology to provide live, one-on-one, high quality tutoring and mentoring.  The exchanges that occur through these Programs directly empower women and girls to move toward their goals of obtaining higher education, finding employment or succeeding in their current positions.  The exchanges also provide much needed moral support, while also helping to bridge worlds and improve understanding between different cultures.
