The American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is a lobbyist group that advocates pro-Israel policies to the Congress and the Executive Branch in the United States. AIPAC-IDC provides for American students to be directly involved in the political process of securing a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. Living in Israel offers activists with first-hand knowledge and a unique perspective on the US-Israel relationship. These activists who come to learn in Israel are among their generation’s most passionate pro-Israel activists and AIPAC-IDC has transformed this previously untapped constituency into a tangible asset for the pro-Israel political movement.
Student activists participate in a variety of political leadership training opportunities that give them the tools to be confident advocates for Israel in the political process and beyond. Activists stay up to date on the most pressing issues in Washington involving Israel, and are guided how to make a direct impact on policy decisions. Throughout the year activists engage with their respective members in Congress on core U.S.-Israel issues such as supporting security assistance to Israel, strengthening U.S.-Israel strategic cooperation, passing Iran sanctions legislation and supporting the congressional role on Iran Policy.
AIPAC-IDC is raising money to expand the effort of turning American activists in Israel into a tangible asset for the pro-Israel political movement. We are raising funds to attend AIPAC training opportunities and policy conference in Washington D.C. to share our story and lobby congress directly, host events to mobilize American activists in Israel, and funds to send Israeli-items to AIPAC chapters on American campuses to support their efforts in securing pro-Israel support on campus.
