Imagine if you were born with AIDS/HIV and your mother and father died of AIDS soon after you were born. Who would raise you? Who would pay for your clothing, food, education and AIDS treatment?
Through no fault of her own, Priyanka is one of hundreds of young girls and boys who are born with AIDS. Priyanka’s father died of AIDS soon after she was born. Her mother also had AIDS and died. Priyanka was born with AIDS. She currently lives in a rented building in Khammam, India. She is not allowed to go to public schools or to the hospital because people with AIDS are ostracized and shunned like lepers.
Aid for AIDS Orphans – AAO – is a 501(c) organization just received our government approval. AAO has two main purposes. First, we are building an orphanage and working with the orphans. We raise money for their education, clothing, food and medical needs.
Second, we create educational and public service outreach programs to educate people about AIDS. We want to stop the spread of AIDS/HIV and we want to help children like Priyanka. With your help, we can create media and marketing campaigns that educate the public that children with AIDS are no danger to the public. More than any other group of children, they deserve our love, charity, compassion and support. They should not be shunned or treated as untouchable.
We ask for your support for the children.
