BENEFITING: BABY RHINO RESCUE
ORGANIZER: BABY RHINO RESCUE
EVENT DATE: Oct 20, 2017
The first two entries are from Ammaarah (10) and Sulaimaan (8) Dhaler, San Parks Junior Rangers from South Africa.
Amaarah's picture quite rightly states that only a rhino needs a rhino horn and reminds others lacking in disrespect for nature and wildlife to respect a rhino. Playing on the slogan "Keep calm and carry on" she warns "Don't keep calm and save our rhinos"!
Sulaimaan's picture speaks for the rhino who exclaims "my horn is not medicine". The rhino also explains the value it contributes to the environment. This picture mobilises the voice of the child on behalf of the rhino who cannot speak - and cannot exercise its own voice.
The other pictures are from Gingindlovu Primary School, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa:
Kaylin Naicker (11): Stop Killing Rhinos. Please leave them alone!
Keenan Govender (11): Rhino horns are not toys or medicines.
Mlandomuhle Dhandu (11): Stop rhino poaching!
Owethu Ngidi (11): They are very special to us!
Natlee Govender (11): Stop rhino poaching. There will be no rhino left in the world. We love them.
Nelson Mamba (11): Stop rhino poaching
Taliha (11): Stop poaching.
