1 year update: NYC-bound again, this time to cheer for Mingo!
November 03, 2017
BENEFITING: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
ORGANIZER: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
On November 6, I'm taking my talents to New York City to run my 10th marathon. I am 33 years old - the same age my mother was when she died by suicide in 1995. This race is for her. She was not a runner, but was a fitness enthusiast and a general fan of kicking ass.
For more than a decade, running has been what I've done to hone my physical and emotional strength. Nothing is more energizing and affirming for me, which is why I have chosen to mark this year with this race and this cause. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention raises awareness, funds research, and provides aid and support to those affected by suicide. You can learn more at https://afsp.org/.
I'm grateful for anything you're able to give: $10, $26.20 in honor of the marathon distance, or more. Anyone who contributes $75+ will be a Primo Level supporter -- and you'll receive a personal thank you note from Primo-the-dog himself! (He's been working on his penmanship.)
I'm excited to have you on my team!
