Affordable Daycare For Children With Special Needs
Organized by: Lathan Hickey
Dear friends, I have been married for 19 years to the most wonderful woman in the world. My wife Mallory has given so much to me, my dreams and the dreams of our three children. She was given so much and given up even more and it is time for her to begin living out her dreams as well. Knowing that she would never ask for help from anyone I am reaching out for help from you to help us achieve something pretty incredible.
Mallory's dream is not about her, it is about others. She has wanted to open an affordable daycare for working class families with an emphasis on families with children with special needs. As many of you know our little guy Kamden is very special and is walking miracle. It was by the grace of God and the love and kindness of others that we were able to get him the help he needed and continue to give him today. We know first hand how hard and how expensive it is to raise a child or children where both parents working or a family where a single mom or dad is working to take care of their family.
We all know how hard this is and we all know how expensive daycare is today never the less when one or more of the kids have some level of special need. Did you know that many daycares charge more to take care of kids with special needs? Whether you agree with that or not it is simply an added expense to an already sometimes financial nightmare for families. Mallory has dreamed of being able to offer families a daycare option that will not hurt families financially and that can offer the best programming and educated child care professionals available in the area.
Mallory has a unique business plan that lays out plans for a daycare that uses music, movement and art to teach early childhood education for kids with special needs and children who would never be able to afford specialized lessons in the area of music, art and dance. Believe it or not 63% of students in Horry County S.C. receive free and reduced lunch, the level of need is real and is off the charts. We need your help, you can make a difference today.
